Craziest! Lesson! Ever! Hey Y'all, I hope things are going pretty well for you. Life is going really well right now. I am really enjoying my new area. Hopefully y'all are enjoying a new school year or whatever new step in your life you are in. Well on Tuesday we had transfers which was pretty crazy. There were only 3 cars in the zone for the 6 missionaries leaving the zone. It was a pretty crazy time. We all made it though. Then I finally got to be companions with Elder Leavitt. I have been waiting for this since I was companions with Elder Mainor a year ago. He is the last Elder that came out his transfer so I have been companions with everyone so that is fun. He is also from Monroe right next to me so we have had a lot of fun times talking about Sevier county. We had some good things happen in Dade City as well. We live in ZephyrHills just south of there. It is a whole lot of trailer parks and rural areas so the work there is so much different than in Seminole. We have ha...

Transfers Hey Y'all, I hope things are going well for you. I just found out that I am getting transferred to Dade City and getting Elder Leavitt as a companion. I am super excited for a new area, but sad to be leaving so many good friends from this area. This week went well. On Tuesday we were able to have a good visit with Sister White and Sister Gleason. They are both doing o.k. We were able to go over the Gospel of Jesus Christ with them which I hope was a good reminder. They are good people. I am glad I know them. We also had a good day on Wednesday. We were able to go and have dinner with Sister Guest, one of the older members of the ward. She is always so kind and takes us to a restaurant in the facility where she lives and has a dessert made as well. She is a very nice Lady. We were also able to visit the Larsen family. They are some snow birds that moved in recently. We were able to have a good conversation with them. The wife is not a member and so hopefully we can get s...

Hey Y'all, I hope things are getting back to normal for Y'all. It has definitely done so for me. I hope Y'all have a good time with school or whatever you are doing at this point in your life. Things are going pretty well here. On Tuesday we had a pretty good day. We were able to visit with Sister White. She is doing O.K. Her and Sister Gleason have gone through some rough times together. They are both sweet people. I hope they can find a solution to their problems in the future. Later that night we were able to council with our Elders quorum presidency about the ward mission plan we are trying to put together. It was good to see their passion for the work. I am excited to keep working with them to help the work progress here. We also went to basketball afterwards and I was actually able to make some good shots. I am glad that there are good people there to mentor me in basketball. I hope I can return the favor and help mentor them as they learn about the church...

Good ol' Saint Pete Happy New Year Y'all It is crazy to think that it is 2020 already. Hopefully you had a good and safe holiday. I hope that the past few days have been good for you. This past week has been interesting. We have been able to see some good things come from that though. To start out the week we had a good time on New Years Eve. On Tuesday evening, we went over to some new move ins to the ward called the Veliu family. The mom let us right in while her husband was a bit more standoffish. We were able to have a good conversation with them and show them the video "Ask of God." They enjoyed it even though they couldn't understand too much because they are originally from Albania. The next day they had us come back just so that their house was the first one that we entered into the New Year. It was cool to see that they wanted us to do that. Then later on New Year's day we were able to go over and visit with our friend Gary. He has some h...

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Hey Y'all, I hope that each of you had a great Christmas this year. Things were pretty good here. Hopefully New Year's can be just as fun. On Christmas eve we had a chance to attend a Christmas Eve party with the Gjoligu family. They had it super fun with singing classic Christmas carols, Sister Gjoligu reciting from memory twas the night before Christmas with people acting out the different parts and acting out the Nativity. It was a very fun night. Then Christmas was a very good day. We started out by visiting Curley. We were able to show him the Geurtler story and hear about how he started his business. We also had a good visit with Sisters Gleason and White. They are still having rat problems, but the ward is definitely putting forth a lot of effort to comfort and strengthen them. It has been awesome to see how people have reached out to them. Then for Christmas dinner we went over to the Brown's house. They had invited us and th...

I love to see the Temple Hey Y'all, I hope things are going well for Y'all. Christmas is in only a few days. I hope that you enjoy that wherever you are going to celebrate. I get to celebrate it with one of my recent converts so I am pretty ecstatic. This last week was pretty good. On Tuesday we were able to go on exchange with the Gulf Port Elders. They both came to our area and it was a blast. I went with Elder Scott and we were able to have a good lesson with Sister Black. She is an elderly Lady that lives in the complex next door to ours. We showed her the Christ Child and she was very grateful since the last time she watched her audio wasn't working so she was relieved to find out that she wasn't missing any important commentary in there. I was glad we could help her in that way. We also had a good visit with Sister Dessi. She is a part Member family in the area who hasn't been to church in awhile. She was very nice, but has some health problems that keep ...

A Sunday to remember. This was an interesting week. We we re able to have some cool stuff happen though. I hope each of you in college survived finals week and that you enjoy your Christmas break. This week we had a tiring discussion with our friend John. We went over just to see how he was doing and set up another time to meet and ended up watching the first 2 book of Mormon videos. In the second one he didn't agree that God would command Nephi to kill Laban. We had a discussion and I got a little contentious with him which I feel bad about. He did agree to have us come back and have another conversation with him. I am excited to see how it goes. We also had a good morning on Wednesday. The Seminole 2 Elders came over and had companionship study with us. They did some role plays of how to work in Ward Council and share the Christ Child with our friends. It was a good practice. We were able to go and show the Christ Child right ...
