Exchanges and Referrals   Hey y'all, I hope things are going well for each of you. Down here in Florida, It is hard to complain if the weather is always 80 degrees. Hopefully the snow isn't bringing you to the despair that cabin fever inflicts upon even the most hardened Utahn or Idahoan fall victim to. On Tuesday, I was able to go on exchange with Elder Murray. We were able to work with our recent converts Sherman and the Fasting Family. Elder Murray made a good impression upon both of them and I got to learn a lot from his humility and good attitude. Then on Wednesday we were able to have an awesome lesson with Michael. He has been coming to church for a while and has a really good relationship with a member named Brother Nielson. We had a lesson at the Nielson's house and were able to address a lot of the concerns that Michael. He told me that he had a giant weight lifted off of his shoulder. I am glad that Heavenly Father was able to give us his doctrine that lightens o...

Tis the season of moving.   Hey y'all, I hope things are going well for you. It is spring break here. Hopefully y'all can enjoy spring break whenever it comes for you. This week was another great week in the Spring Hill/Brooksville area. On Tuesday we met with our recent convert Sherman and he made us Padogi. It is like dumplings and it tasted really good. He is always kind and has food for us when we go over. Hopefully he continues to do well and improve in the gospel. Then Wednesday was a crazy day full of a lot of really cool events. We started out by having district council. Recently our mission has made a big push to improve our member work. We have received some training from the mission department about how to do this better and I am excited to try it out soon. Then we had President's interviews which are always great. I love President Cooper and how he cares for his missionaries such as me. He gave me some great advice about how to study the scriptures and I am exci...
Zone Conference and date set.   Hey y'all, I hope things are going well for y'all. This week was very inspirational. I was able to learn a lot and try some new ideas on how to do missionary work. The first exciting thing was that we had a lesson with Sherman again. He is doing as well as he can. He has a lot of health concerns since he is quite old and it is discouraging him a bit. We are going to reach him about the Gospel of Jesus Christ one principle at a time (i.e. Faith, then Rapentance, ...) Right after that we had a dinner with the Palmer Family. It was very nice. We found out they are moving to Pennsylvania which will be sad, but good for them. They will be here for a few more months so it'll be good to have them around at least a little longer. Then on Wednesday we had our zone conference. This one was really sweet. Elder Donaldson who is a member of the general mission board helped us come up with a few ideas. One of them is how we plan how to help our people each...

Blessings upon Blessings   Hey y'all, Things have been going pretty well the past few days. We have found some really cool people to work with and have a solid week planned already. I am excited to see how it goes this next week. On Tuesday we had our district council. It went really well. I had to give a 30 minute training on the role of the Holy Ghost in conversion. I was nervous, but I was able to make it a council and to learn from each member there. It was a cool experience. We also go soaked. We had a lesson with the Rawalds on at 5:00 and English class at 7:30 and it was raining the entire time. We were soaked, but still got to be helped. We also had our English class with Lizbet and her son Felix. The sisters taught her about everyday items and how to use this and that. I was then able to show here a video about the First vision in Spanish and challenged her to read the Book of Mormon. She said she would. Then out of the blue she showed up to church. It was super sweet to s...

Miracle Week   Hey y'all, This last week has truly been full of a lot of miracles. We have met a lot of cool people out here and I am excited to keep working with them. On Tuesday I got a new companion Elder Case and he is pretty cool. He is from Meridian Idaho and has been on his mission for about 6 months now. He was serving with my old companion Elder Mainor and my trainer Elder Arima before that so that is cool. He is very good at being bold which is nice. I am excited to learn how to invite people more boldly from him. We have been able to do quite a bit of work with our recent converts recently. We were able to meet with Brother Gizzi and his family with Brother Croft and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It stared out a little rough, but by the end it went well. I am excited to keep working with him. We also met with Sherman again. He is really old and can't remember much of what we share with him, but he comes every week he can and is so sweet. He always has something t...

7 transfers 7 companions Hey y'all, I hope things are going well for you. Thanks all of you that sent me birthday wishes It has been a great birthday today. Things are going pretty well here in the Brooksville area. On Monday we got to go out to Ridge Manor on the other side of Hernando County (my area is an entire county.) I got to teach a member named Sister Richards. She has a solid testimony, but has not felt very welcome at church. I was able to promise her some blessings of coming to church and helping her that way. She came to church this week which was really exciting. I am excited to keep working with her. Then Tuesday Elder Hird was sick so we went to district council and practiced sharing the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in 1 minute or less. It was a cool exercise. Then we stayed in the apartment and I read 5 chapters of the Book of Mormon. It was a good day. We also taught one of the Recent Converts named Sherman. He is a really nice older man. He has trouble r...

Pancakes and Miracles   Hey Y'all, I hope things are going well for y'all. Things are going pretty well here in Jolley ol' Brooksville. The temperature has been a chilly 80 degrees here for the past week. Hopefully y'all have been able to survive the cold wherever you are at. This week was super cool. We were able to work hard and see a lot of success. On Monday we were able to teach Michael. He is a friend of the Croft family and loves the Gospel. We were able to teach him about tithing and fast offerings and it went well. Brother Croft had a really good analogy that helped him understand what was going on. I am glad they were there to help him understand that. Then on Tuesday we went on Exchange. Elder Scoresby and I went with Elder Murray to Brooksville. The most exciting thing that happened is we were able asked by one of our recent converts Victoria to give her a blessing. We were able to go over with the Sanetra family and it was a nice blessing. Then on Thursday ...
