Blessings upon Blessings
Hey y'all,
Things have been going pretty well the past few days. We have found some really cool people to work with and have a solid week planned already. I am excited to see how it goes this next week.
On Tuesday we had our district council. It went really well. I had to give a 30 minute training on the role of the Holy Ghost in conversion. I was nervous, but I was able to make it a council and to learn from each member there. It was a cool experience. We also go soaked. We had a lesson with the Rawalds on at 5:00 and English class at 7:30 and it was raining the entire time. We were soaked, but still got to be helped.
We also had our English class with Lizbet and her son Felix. The sisters taught her about everyday items and how to use this and that. I was then able to show here a video about the First vision in Spanish and challenged her to read the Book of Mormon. She said she would. Then out of the blue she showed up to church. It was super sweet to see her there. She loves coming and I know that she will be able to help her there.
One other fun thing that happened recently is that we were able to have Gisele attend our other English Class and then attend an 80's dance that the ward council threw. The 80's party was fun, but it was hard to try to listen to the spirit there. Hopefully she was able to be fellowshipped very well there.
Then on Thursday we had to go over to the other side of the Area with Brother Frost to give Sister Brinkerhoff a blessing. They are both older people. Brother Brinkerhoff was very kind and is a jokester. I am excited to see the Lord bless Sister Brinkerhoff over the next few days. We were also called later that night to give a blessing to Jane Bremer. She is an interesting lady. I got to sit in the waiting room while Elder Case and Brother Nielson went and gave her a blessing. That was crazy, but good at the same time.
We also had a super cool miracle yesterday. We were walking down the street to where a member lived that neither Elder Case or I knew when he saw a 1976 bike in the garage of this one man's house. Went up and talked to him and had a good conversation with him. He is an older gentleman who recently had his wife die. We talked for around an hour before we were able to start testifying of what Heavenly Father's plan is for us. He is super cool though. I was excited to meet him. He said we could come back on Saturday and we were also able to leave him with a Book of Mormon. I am excited to meet with him again.
Then today was pretty calm. I am excited to see what happens this evening. I know that there is someone out there who could use some help. I am excited to try my best to find them. If any of you need some help with how to do missionary work, we as a mission came up with 47 ways to do missionary work. If you would like a copy, let me know and I will send it to you next week. Until then, have a great week and God Bless!
