Day 13 of self isolation. Hey Y'all, I hope you are all doing well in whatever form of isolation you are in. It sure has been crazy here, but we had some chances to escape the apartment which was good. On Tuesday we had district council. It went pretty well. We had to have it over Facebook messenger so that presented it's challenges, but overall it went well. After that we went to the church and finished up our my plan trainings. They had some good advice and I am glad for the chance to start to think of some goals for when I head home next week. Then on Wednesday Elder Porter and I had our final interviews with President Hollingsworth. It was a very spiritual experience. During the middle of mine a stake president called to see if a missionary was on a plane at that moment since he wasn't sure if they were supposed to be going home then or the next day. I am sure he is stressed out of his mind right now. Then we got trapped the rest of the day helping people in the offic...
Day 6 of self isolation M an this has been the craziest week ever. I'm sure you have heard about some of it that has been going on. Never in a million years would I have guessed that this turn of events were going to happen. Last Monday was like our last normal day of missionary work. It started out with both Elder Porter and I seeing the post about how coronavirus affects those and that stateside missionaries would probably be sent home for the next 6 months 3 months early. Since both Elder Porter and I fall into that category,  we both thought we would be going home. Later that night, after reading with Steven since we thought missionary work was just going to continue normally, we had a missio...
Just when you think you have seen everything on the mission! Hey Y'all,   Wow this last week has seemed to be a roller coaster for everyone. I hope y'all are doing good and that you are enjoying having a time to only be with family for a little bit. Who knows, I may be joining y'all sooner than you think.   This last week has been crazy. It started out seeming like it was going to be a normal week. I started out on Tuesday by going on exchange with Elder Holloway in YSA. It was very interesting to be on campus trying to proselyte. One of their main finding tools it to perform a survey. It was awesome to see how good Elder Holloway was doing as this is his second transfer out on the mission.   Then on Wednesday I was back in Dade City. The most exciting thing that happened is we were able to get back in contact with Brandy. We were semi pumped with her possibly getting baptized this weekend, but the odds were against us because the next day when we had the interview...

Fun in the office. Hey Y'all, I hope things are going pretty well for you. Things are going pretty well here. I hope that things are going well for you before spring break. Well this week started off by splitting up the dynamic duo from Sevier county. On Tuesday I left Elder Leavitt at the mission office to go home. I am definitely going to miss that man. I got to meet my new companion Elder Porter. He is the technology specialist for the mission and is super cool. He wants to go into IT when he grows up so if I have any technology questions he can answer it.  He is from New Mexico too so the ward is definitely happy to have someone not from Utah. Then on Wednesday we were able to talk for a few minutes with Brandy. She is still wanting to get baptized and reading the Book of Mormon so we set her to be baptized this Saturday. She has been out of town though so I am not sure if it is going  to happen or not. I hope it goes well though and we are going to work like it is ...
One heck of a week. Hey y'all, Man this was a crazy week. I hope that this week is better or you than this last one has been for me. So last Monday we went over and it turns out that Brandy had broke up with her member boyfriend. It was a sad time. She still wanted to move forward with the Baptism. Well Everything started out fine. We had district council and interviews and both of those were great. Elder Leavitt got some good advice for when he goes home. We also got some good advice for how to help Brandy. Then when we got home we talked to Brandy's ex-boyfriend and he was just blowing off steam to us. Then Brandy's son came home and was just receiving all the steam. We tried to tell Brandy's son to just leave the room, but Brother Reed thought we had told him to run away and so he blew up on us and doesn't want anything to do with the church anymore. It was crazy and kind of scary, but he calmed down and so the situation has stabilized. Then the rest of the wee...
