Transfers and finding solid people!
Hey Y'all,
I hope that things are going well for you. This last week has been interesting. I have been able to see some cool miracles though.
This week started out by dropping off Elder Case at the mission office to go serve in Lake Wales with my good friend Elder Dickey. I am excited to hear how he enjoys Lake Wales at a future date.
I then met my new companion Elder McCubbins. He is from the big island in Hawaii and has been out on his mission for almost a year and a half. He is really good at referencing our conversations to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am excited to see how things go over the next few weeks.
We were able to have some awesome lessons this week. One lesson that we had was with a man named Chris. He had requested a bible a few weeks ago and hadn't been in good contact with him. We were able to meet with him on Saturday and help him understand part of the Plan of Salvation and repentance. We are excited to be going back there this next Saturday.
We also had a good lesson with a man named Derek. We met Derek outside this week and talked to him about why there are so many churches and set a return appointment for Friday. We were not able to meet with him then, but we were able to meet with him yesterday. He has a sincere desire to learn more about God and church. We are excited to keep working with him over the next few weeks as well.
We also met a man named Craig. He is a middle-aged gentleman who is going through some rough times. We have been trying to help him get through these hard times and help him become an active member of the church. It is going to be cool to see him progress.
Then yesterday was not so fun. It was my first day being sick on the mission. It was nothing serious, just a sick stomach and a very bad headache. Yesterday was kind of boring because of that. I was able to see Brother Gardner from the Palm Harbor Ward as we went to church this week. It was good to see him again.
Other than that, nothing else too crazy happened. I hope that y'all can have a good week. Next email I will have only a year left on my Mission. It is crazy to think that I am halfway done. I am excited to start going down the escalator back to Babylon though Until next time, good luck and God Bless!
