Cool week of miracles!
Hey Y'all,
I hope things are going well for you. Hopefully things aren't too hot where you are at. It has been a bit cooler here since we have had rain every single day this week for at least a couple of hours. The rain does put a damper on what you can do as a missionary though.
This week started off well with Elder McCubbins and I having a great lesson with a lady named Aisha. She was just sitting outside and we decided to talk to her. She followed an eastern religion, but had heard quite a bit about our church. She was impressed by our resolve and how young we were and had us teach her 2 daughters right then and there. It was awesome. I am excited to keep growing.
Then the next day I was able to go on exchange with Elder Hird and Elder Stowe. We started off in my area which was nice. We were able to see my friend Carl who just got back from Kentucky. It was good to see him. He will be moving back to Kentucky soon though. I am excited to teach him one more time and hopefully prepare him for missionaries in Kentucky.
Then Elder Hird, Stowe, and I were able to go to their area. I was able to see how their correlation meeting works. It was really cool to learn from their Ward mission leader.
Then on Thursday we were able to go with Brother Drossos to teach our friend Brother Johnson. He is still struggling. If you could keep him in your prayers, that would be much appreciated.
Then on friday we had some good and bad things happen. We were able to teach our friend Anglin. We read the first chapter of the Book of Mormon so that she could have more of a desire to read it on her own. After that we taught Francisco about baptism and confirmation. He had decided that he was not ready to be baptized yet. That was disappointing, but I am hopeful that he will be baptized one day though. I will look forward to seeing how things go with him in the future.
Then yesterday was Father's day. That was really cool. We had Anglin and our friend Michael come. It was awesome to see both of them there. We were also able to stop by the other Johnson family. They are doing better. Sister Johnson has a boot and can walk again which is better than before. I am excited to see how things go this week. This is President Coopers second to last week so it will be interesting to see how things go in the future. I hope that this week goes well for y'all, until next time, have a great day and God Bless.
