1 month in Florida

Hello everyone,

I hope this last week was as good for you as well for you as they are here in North Port. I also hope that this next week is just as good as well.

 

Well, things are going pretty well here. This week we stopped teaching Giovannie. That was kind of sad. We were able to teach Mike again this week. He is going through a rough situation right now. We are trying to help him see the blessings that the gospel can bring into his life in these hard times. Hopefully he is understanding what we are teaching him.

 

We also went on a split with Elder Collins this week. He is 85 and the ward missionary leader and is an awesome person. He came with us to a lesson we had in Arcadia and was able to share some really cool insights about the chapter we had with a recent convert there.

 

Elder Arima and I also went on an exchange with Elder Dicke. Elder Dicke is from Utah and is a quiet missionary. He has a lot of experience and is really good at using his words effectively. I hope that I will be able to do that someday. We went and taught a lesson to some of their investigators in the Port Charlotte area which was cool. We read 2 Nephi 9 with them and that's a really cool chapter.

 

This Sunday we also had a miracle happen. This week Elder Loy had an impression to fast this week for someone to come to church and someone did! His name was Aurell and he was reading a book about the history of Christianity with a couple of quotes from the general authorities that he really liked. He also said that he would be willing to keep the word of wisdom when we talked to him about that. That really showed to me that the power of fasting and prayer are real and that Heavenly Father truly answers our prayers.

 

Other than that, it was another good week in the North Port area. Next week is transfers, so we will see if I am staying in North Port or going somewhere else. I hope all of you have a fantastic week.
