Group email: first week at the MTC

Hey guys,

 I hope things are going well for you out there. It has been a lot of getting used to here at the MTC. Hopefully you are not having too much fun without me there.

 

Well, things are definitely different out here in the MTC. I got here last Wednesday and after everyone made it through dropping off your bags at your room and checking in. My branch president here said it is like they are trying to fill our heads with information from a firehose and that's about what it is. I am definitely learning a lot while I am here and it has definitely built my testimony in the Lord and in this Gospel. It is so simple and so profound at the same time. Hopefully I can remember it in the mission field.

 

My new companion is Elder Cunningham. He is from Napa Idaho and is headed to the St. George, Utah mission. He is a very kind and outgoing person and I know he will do great as a missionary.

 

Today we went to the 8:00 session of the Temple. That was super cool and uplifting to feel the spirit of the Temple. I am going to miss that when I go on the mission. That's why I am excited to go to the Temple next week at the same time to feel that again.

 

We also got to Listen to Elder Claudio R. M. Costa of the seventy talk on Sunday. That was really cool and I learned a bit from that talk. One thing that impressed me is that I  could bear as powerful of a witness of the gospel as he can as a set apart missionary. I sure hope that I can do that when I am out teaching and helping people come unto Christ.

  Just when you think you have seen everything on the mission! Hey Y'all,   Wow this last week has seemed to be a roller coaster for everyone. I hope y'all are doing good and that you are enjoying having a time to only be with family for a little bit. Who knows, I may be joining y'all sooner than you think.   This last week has been crazy. It started out seeming like it was going to be a normal week. I started out on Tuesday by going on exchange with Elder Holloway in YSA. It was very interesting to be on campus trying to proselyte.
