"I'LL BE HOME FOR (EASTER)"

Hey Y'all,

 

Wow, this is it. My final weekly and final day in the Tampa Florida mission. Time really has flown by. I never thought I would get to this day. I have enjoyed every second of it though in retrospect at least.

 

So this week was pretty slow. We have had some good things happen. One exciting thing we have been able to do is reach out to some of the members who are less active. We had a man named Brother Mercer. He originally was a little weirded out by our call, but we were able to share a quick message with him and he wanted us to call him back. I hope Elder Memmott can help him well.

 

We also got to go to Tampa a few times this week which was nice. Elder Porter needed to train the next technology specialist so I got to go on a couple day exchanges with the Carrollwood Elders. It was fun to get to learn from them.

 

One of the other exciting things that has happened is we had a zone conference over video call which was cool. I was excited to learn about how missionary work is going to move forward. They are going to be working a lot more on Facebook.

 

Then of course there was general conference. Holy cow that was awesome. There were some amazing talks. I really loved how there is another proclamation to the world now. I definitely encourage you to study that again. I also loved Elder Christopherson's talk. It was a really good reminder of what it really takes to be a missionary in any situation. It is awesome.

 

Well that is about it for this week. I think I would like to end this by bearing my testimony. I know that Heavenly Father loves me and loves the world. He knows what our lives have been and where they can go. I know that if we humble ourselves, he will guide us to where we need to go in this journey of life. I know the Lord loves the people of Florida  and I do too. I am so grateful for the time I have had to serve. I will never be the same again. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that if we follow it's teachings we can make better decisions  each day. I look forward to learning more from y'all and I say this in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.
