Zone Conference and second Date set.

Hey Y'all,

I hope things are going well for you. Things are really going well in this ward. I can definitely see baptisms in the next week.

On Tuesday we were able to help the Beeman's move out. They were a super nice older couple who should hopefully be in their new home in Michigan now. We got there a little before they did with the Uhaul truck and so when we saw them pull around the corner with a 26 foot truck and saw that we were the only ones there  let's just say "we were seized upon by some power which entirely overcame us." Turns out though that the only reason they got such a big truck is all of those size trucks are either here in Florida and Arizona because of all the snowbirds. It was a pretty good load and they took us to golden corral afterwards so it was all worth it.

Then later that day we went over and met with Sandy. When we went over the first time she was gone and so Brother Mitchell, one of the members who lives right down the street from her, took us to Brother Collier. He is a super sweet old man who loves the church. Then when we went back she had made it home. We taught her the Plan of Salvation and she understood it very well. I am excited to see her enter the waters of baptism on the 22nd.

There was also Zone conference this week which was amazing. This time it was all about going back to the basics. We talked a lot about how we should focus our time as missionaries on understanding the doctrine taught in preach my gospel, the Book of Mormon, and Missionary standards for disciples of Jesus Christ (the new missionary handbook.) I definitely took some good notes and had the truth reaffirmed to me that "by small and simple things are great things brought to pass."

One funny story from this week is we were helping a member move some furniture from her storage unit into her smaller house. When we tried moving in the second to last piece, the piece was the same height as the ceiling and so we were not able to set it up because the Hypotnuse (diagonal length) was 4 inches taller than the ceiling. Thus Elder Leavitt, 2 of the member's friends, and I spent the next 2 hours trying to take the molding off of the top so we can put it on top later, but nothing is going our way. It was just hilarious how everything we tried failed and was probably one of the most funny experiences of my mission so far.

One miracle as well from this week is this lady named Brandy. She is dating a returning member and we have been able to teach her 3 times this past week and she is sooooo prepared. She has been reading, came to church today even though the member she is dating wasn't home, and accepted a date to be baptized on February 29th. I am very excited for her and look forward to helping the rest of her family enter the waters of baptism as well. One other miracle that we saw yesterday is that there was a boy who came to church for the first time with some members who wants to take the lessons and be baptized. We are getting in contact with hopefully today and will set something up for later this week. His mom is a member, but isn't active so hopefully we can reactivate her as well. Other than that it was a normal week. I hope that this is a great week for y'all as well. Good luck and God Bless!
