Arc specifications for the Seminole 1st Ward.

Hey y'all,

I hope things are going well for you. Things have been pretty hectic here. There were a lot of miracles that happened this week.

One of the biggest miracles has been with Sophia. We have been able to have 3 lessons this week and they all seemed to go well. We have been able to set another date with her for August 31st. This time I feel that it will happen though. We set up a baptismal calendar with her so that she could see when she would receive the different lessons and when she would get baptized. We let her choose all of the dates and she is excited to have us come over now. We also had an awesome lesson with her last night. We were able to explain a bit more about the Book of Mormon, the role of Jesus Christ and the Resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:22 is a great scripture that talks about this), and the 10 commandments. She was super accepting and is just awesome. I am sooo excited that Heavenly Father gave me the chance to teach her.

We also had an awesome experience with another family we are teaching. We were in the area and texted them to see if we could come over and share a quick message. Casey (the wife), texted us back and told us that she had a hard decision that she needed to make. We were able to go over and she told us that she had been praying earlier that day for a sign of what to do. I know that Heavenly Father made sure that we were in the right place at the right time. It was a great experience. We were also able to talk to them about baptism and Casey seems super on board. Her husband Anthony has a few more doubts, but I feel that he will be touched by the spirit as well and he will have a desire to be baptized soon as well.

This weekend was interesting though. On Friday it started raining and raining and raining. This week we  didn't have the car either so we were caught in our apartment. We were able to set up quite a few lessons for this next week and write quite a few emails and letters. One part that was funny is that Saturday when it was still raining one of the members in our ward responded to a question about what to put on the ward council agenda by saying: "The design specifications for the Seminole 1st ward Ark. Holy rain Batman!" That made our day better.

One other amazing experience that happened this week is I was able to see my recent convert Patrick that I baptized almost 9 months ago. The first thing that he said when he saw me was "Thank you, Thank you for everything." I was soooo touched by that. I know that I was sent to this mission to meet him. I am excited to keep in touch with him in the future.

Other than that, it was another normal week of finding, teaching, and baptizing. I am excited to make this week just as great. I hope you plan on doing the same. Until next time good luck and God Bless!
