Follow the Prophet Florida!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

Hey y'all,

Man this week was insane!! There were a lot of great things that happened this week. It has been one of the best weeks of my mission.

 

We have been able to see some good things happen with the people we are teaching. One of the most exciting is that we were able to stop by the Deleonardis family. The mom has been wanting to quit smoking so Elder McCubbins and I were able to help her learn about the 15 step program and commit her to it. We are going to be following up with them about it this week. I am so excited to see how it goes.

 

Then on Wednesday we were able to go to the Temple. It was an awesome experience. I had another question in mind and again I was able to receive revelation to answer that question. I love the temple and the feeling I get when there. I know it is the House of the Lord. After that we were able to have the last zone conference with President and Sister Cooper. We talked about baptism, but what sticks out in my mind is when I got to shake the hand of both President and Sister Cooper and have a personal conversation with them. It was amazing to feel their love. I am excited to meet President and Sister Hollingsworth at the end of this month as well.

 

We also were able to have a great day on Friday. One of the highlights is we were able to have dinner at the Palmer's home. It was a great time and I am always so grateful for the Palmers and what they do for us. I am sad to see them move away. We also had a great lesson with a lady named Anglin and Brother and Sister Lomax. We were able to have a great lesson on the Restoration and she seems interested to come to church this next week. I am excited for that.

 

Then the highlight is we were able to see the Prophet yesterday. He came to Orlando and he was kind enough to let all of the missionaries in the Tampa mission attend. Elder and Sister Uchtdorf and Elder and Sister Bowen. It was a great time. I learned a lot from each of them. I love President Nelson's energy and his tak on truth and different points of the gospel and how it has impacted him. Sister Nelson was also able to give a great talk about Personal Revelation and I definitely needed that. I am glad that we were able to go with many members of the ward. It was a great opportunity and I hope I can have that opportunity some other time and that y'all can have an opportunity like that as well.

 

Other than that we had a good week finding some people who want to learn more. I am excited to follow up with them this week. Hopefully things are going pretty well for y'all. Until next time good luck and God Bless!

Thanksgiving and Transfers!!!   Hey y'all! Hopefully Thanksgiving went well for y'all. I know that it went well for us here in the Palm Harbor area.   This last week has been full of miracles. I have gained a surety this week that Heavenly Father is aware of me and everyone and that he truly is in the details of our lives. Multiple times this week Elder Mainor and I have received promptings on where to go and miracles have occurred. One of them is we felt like we should go to a neighborhood with a couple of people that we could stop by, but would most likely not be home. One of the people was Walt. He is always busy and the last 3 times we have tried to contact him it has not gone well. Then on Saturday he was supposed to work all day for one person and he finished early.   "I'LL BE HOME FOR (EASTER)" Hey Y'all,   Wow, this is it. My final weekly and final day in the Tampa Florida mission. Time really has flown by. I never thought I would get to this day. I have enjoyed every second of it though in retrospect at least.   So this week was pretty slow. We have had some good things happen. One exciting thing we have been able to do is reach out to some of the members who are less active. We had a man named Brother Mercer. He originally was a little weirded out by our call, but we were able to share a quick message with him and he wanted us to call him back. I hope Elder Memmott can help him well.   We also got to go to Tampa a few times this week which was nice. Elder Porter needed to train the next technology specialist so I got to go on a couple day exchanges with the Carrollwood Elders.
