Happy Late Mothers Day!
Hey Y'all,
I hope things are going well for you. Happy late Mothers day to all of you Mothers out there. I hope that it was a great day for y'all yesterday.
Things are going pretty well here. The last little bit has been a lot of biking. As missionaries, we are only allowed a certain amount of miles to drive our car so Elder Case has had to do a lot of biking recently. One of the routes we go on pretty regularly is 20-25 miles. It is a crazy time.
When we aren't biking though, we are having a lot of fun. This Wednesday we had a zone service day. We went to an assisted living facility and helped redo a patio area there. It was really fun especially since I got to catch up with my old companion Elder Hird. That was a great time.
I was also able to go on a couple of exchanges though. This week I was able to go back with my good friend Elder Eisele for an exchange in Hudson. During that exchange though, I was able to spend some time with a new missionary Elder Lords. He has one of the most powerful testimonies that I have ever felt. It was really cool and humbling hearing him bear his testimony during the lesson we had together.
Then the exchange with Elder Eisele was super great. He was able to help me remember some of the roles I have as a missionary that I wasn't sure on so I am grateful for that.
We were also able to have an awesome lesson on Saturday. Some members in the ward invited Eric and Jennifer, 2 people that we are teaching, and us over for dinner. While we were there we were able to share a short message about your potential and your privileges. It was an o.k. lesson, but nothing too impressive. The members after though were able to ask them about baptism and that Jennifer said that she was ready to be baptized! She had been taught in the past by missionaries, but had felt pressured, but now she is ready. I am excited to keep working with them over the next few weeks.
Then yesterday for Mothers day we were able to deliver some letters to some of the mothers in the ward. One of them was to a lady that I had met during the very beginning of my stay in the Brooksville ward. Her name was Carol and she was very excited to see us. She said that we could come some time and I am excited to try to help her again.
Then today I found out that I will be staying in Brooksville for another 6 weeks. I will be receiving a new companion Elder McCubbins. I am excited to have a new companion and see how our people continue to progress. It will be an awesome experience. Elder Case will be going to Lake Wales with my good friend Elder Dickey. I am excited to hear how things go for them.
That is about it for this week. I hope that it goes well for you and for those of you who will be graduating soon. To all of you I wish you good luck and God Bless!
