Great conference Weekend 

Hey y'all,

I don't know about you, but this was one of the most cool conferences I have listened to. There were a lot of amazing talks that helped me learn what I could do better at. I am excited to keep studying these talks and hope that y'all enjoy them just as much.

This week went pretty well. One tender mercy I saw came from applying some council given to us in the Florida Tampa mission by Elder Stanphill a while ago. Elder Case and I have been struggling to find a lot of people to teach each week. What Elder Stanphill taught us was to pray to call down the powers of heaven and be very specific in our prayers. Because of that I prayed twice that we could find someone to teach and both times we were able to find someone Heavenly Father needed us to reach out to this week. I am glad that Heavenly Father is willing to do that for someone who is as foolish and prideful as I am. 

We also got to spend 2 days in the city of Brooksville this week. The second time was really cool. We tried to have a Basketball night at the church this Friday instead of our usual volleyball since we heard that some people would come if we played basketball instead of volleyball. This time we had some youth show up, but not adult leaders. Earlier that day we were walking around and right before we made it back to our car, it started pouring. Elder Case and I got soaked from head to foot. Later that day though we were able to visit a less-active member of the ward who lives up there. When we contacted her she told us that she needed help painting the bottom of her house which of course we offered to help. This was awesome since we were finding in the area, but not finding anyone to talk to so the spirit impressed upon my mind to stop by this lady and now we have an opportunity to serve her. I am so excited.

Then there was of course General conference weekend. This time we were able to watch each session with a different family. The first one was the Elders Quorum President's family with our friend Michael. Michael really enjoyed General Conference. We were then able to watch the next session with the Fasting's, a couple of recent converts that are very sweet.

Then the next day we went to Brother Davis's house with Sherman and that was really good. Sherman made us some turkey salad sandwiches that were really good. We then went to the Keenan's which are an awesome couple in the ward. I always love spending time with their family.

We also had a good visit with the Johnson family. They are a part-member family that we have been trying to help for a long time. This is the first time that they have let us in to talk. They are really sweet and are just looking for help right now. I hope that we can get them the help they need.

Other than that it was a normal week. I am excited for this next week. I will be able to go on exchange with Elder Smith from Citrus park which should be really fun. I am excited to see how it goes. I hope this week is just as exciting for you. Until next week, good luck and God Bless!
