Bonus Points

Hello everyone,

I hope things have been going well for you this week. It has been an exciting one here in the Brooksville area. We have had another crazy week, but it has been fun.

On Tuesday we had district council which we got practice commuting people to different commitments we frequently give during our mission. I got to go with Elder Murray for one of them and he truly cared and made me feel comfortable during our contact. I hope I can get better at that. Later that night, Elder Hird, Scoresby, and I were able to go and teach an English to a members brother from China. It was really fun.

Then on Thursday everything went crazy. We took our car to be fixed in Wesley Chapel 45 minutes away from where we live. We had set it up so we could go to the mission home and have presidents interviews there and weekly planning while they fixed the car. But then the part they needed didn't come. Because of that we left the mission office after our weekly planning in a big 12 passenger van nicknamed the ARC. It was really fun. Then we went to Brooksville and met some cool people and ate at Coney island. (Famous because Elvis are there. That's right. I got to eat gator where Elvis ate.) We also did some cool service for a member out in the boonies of Brooksville.

Then on Friday the madness continues. We go and teach our English class that we do every Wednesday and helped Gisele and Sister Drossos talk more about their families in English. It was really fun. Then we have to go straight to a lesson with a less active member named Benjamin. He was nice and we were able to share a cool message and invited him to church and he said he would come. Right after that we had to drive to Wesley Chapel and switch out the ARC for the Rav 4 again. Then drive home, go to a birthday party for Sister Padilla's little girl since Donny was supposed to be there, and then play volleyball afterwords. The bonus points for volleyball is if you hit a light. It came from last time we played volleyball and we kept hitting the lights. Well this time, One Elder Beard was serving and hit the volleyball a little too hard and it hit it out of the ceiling. Everyone was laughing which made it fun.

We also got to meet with the Rawald family. They are all sweet people. We were able to teach them the Restoration and the kids were interested in getting baptized. It was an awesome experience that made my whole weekend better.

Then Donny and Jodie came to church and it was sweet. They were taken right under the arm of the ward members and were made to feel right at home. I am excited to see how things continue to go for that family.

That's about it for this week. I hope y'all will he able to have a better week this week than last week. God Bless!

D&C 97: 8-9

"8 Verily I say unto you, all among them who know their hearts are honest, and are broken, and their spirits contrite, and are willing to observe their covenants by sacrifice ”yea, every sacrifice which I, the Lord, shall command ”they are accepted of me.
9 For I, the Lord, will cause them to bring forth as a very fruitful tree which is planted in a goodly land, by a pure stream, that yieldeth much precious fruit."
