First a Hurricane, then a Tornado.
Hey y'all,
I hope y'all had a great week. Hopefully Halloween went well and you are all able to feel full at least for a few days.
This week has been amazing here in Palm Harbor. There have been many miracles seen and I am glad that I am counted worthy to witness them. This week Elder Mainor and I were able to get a lot done. One thing that I credit to our success is that we are both trying to build a relationship with people before sharing the Gospel. I think that is something that my companions in the past have tried to jump to for a while. If you listen though, you will always find something that you can testify about and share with them. One example is we were able to talk to a man named Frank this week. He had just got off of work and so we decided to talk to him. He was very kind and very quickly decided to tell us his life story. It is really sad. He has lot both his wife and his son recently. If we would have just jumped in and tried to share the gospel with him, there would have probably been no way to find this information out until later. We were able to testify boldly then and share how our families can be together for forever. I am excited to go back and teach him more this week.
We were able to have a lot of other experiences like that and I am excited to try and help them come unto Christ in the coming week. There is so much work that needs to be done in this area and I hope I will be around to do that.
Halloween here was interesting. We were going to a member meal, but I guess they had forgotten they were going to feed us so we just kind of sat around awkwardly and talked for a while. Then after that we were able to talk to Eric and Pria again. This time we were able to help them understand the church's stance and were able to tie a lot of it back to the Family Proclamation to the World. They are amazing. I am excited to keep trying to invite them to come closer to Christ.
We then had Zone Conference right after Halloween. It was really cool. We learned about planning and I was able to get my flu shot. I was very happy about both of those. They will help me to continue to be a good missionary in the Palm Harbor Area and wherever they ship me out to after that.
We were also able to help Chad and Chrissy again. Their yard is starting to look better. We were able to make it so they could park both of their cars in the driveway. We offered to have the young men come do a service project so hopefully we can knock out a lot of work in a short amount of time.
We also had dinner with the Arbogast's this week. They are both great missionaries and I am glad that they are so helpful to us. I am excited to see how they will be able to help with the new Light the World Theme this year.
Other than that, it was a normal week. I am excited to help more people closer to Heavenly Father and I hope you are able to enjoy your activities as well. Have a great y'all,
God Bless!!
