Great General Conference Weekend 

Hey y'all, 

I hope y'all are having a great day. Elder Christensen and I were able to have a great week here in Palm Harbor.

This Monday we were able to have a good lesson again with Patrick. He had read the Plan of Salvation pamphlet we left with him last time and so we were able to help him understand that Plan of Happiness more. We invited him to be baptized, but he was kind of scared of Jumping in the font just yet. We feel like he will accept a baptismal date another day. We are excited for when that happens.

 

Then we were able to watch General Conference. We were able to watch one session with The Svarckopf and the Demer's. They really did it! They made the 2 hour block!! This has been joked about in Richfield for years. I am excited to have more time to spend with family and learning the gospel on my own and as a family. Then in the second session, Elder Moleni from the Palm Harbor ward was in the missionary choir for general conference. He is one of the first people that they showed during that conference. We were also able to watch a session with Patrick with the Bleakley's. It was pretty cool because he got to hear President Nelson's talk on the name of the church and he was super impressed by the whole thing. He said that it was the closest to the teachings of Jesus Christ that he has ever seen! I am so excited for him.

 

We were also able to have a good lesson with Jeff. He is doing well but is really busy right now. We were able to have a good conversation about how to receive a confirmation of the truthfulness of what we are sharing with him. We think that it helped him a lot. He was also able to fellowship with Brother Johnson who only lives a couple of blocks away from him so that was good.

 

This week is Elder Christensen's last week. It is crazy to think that I have already been with this Elder for a month and a half. I have truly learned a lot from him and I am excited to hear how he does when he gets home.

 

Other than that, not much changed. We were able to find a cool person named Anthony who we are hoping to teach this Saturday. He seems super open. It should be a good time. It should be another good week coming up. I hope it goes well for y'all this week as well.
