Another week in North Port

Hello Everyone.

 I hope you are doing well. I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer as well.

 

Well, things are going pretty well here in the North Port area. This week we stopped by a man named Billy. We met him a couple weeks ago standing by his truck. He was very nice and said that if we saw his truck that we could stop by and teach him. He is a really nice man. We were able to teach him and Ashley the Restoration. It seemed to go very well and I look forward to meeting with him again this next week.

 

I also got to go on exchange with Elder Dickey this week. He is a really great missionary and he taught me a lot on this exchange. He is really good at listening which is something that I need to work on. We went and taught Rocky the Gospel of Jesus Christ which went pretty well.

 

Elder Dickey and I also stopped by Jedediah. He is going through a lot emotionally right now so we went and just listened to his situation. We were able to share a couple of scriptures with him and also Elder Arima and I gave him a priesthood blessing the next day. I was able to give that blessing and that was really cool.

 

We also met a man named Guiseppe this week. We were going to visit another member in the ward and we saw him and his wife going for a walk and we were able to teach him about the Restoration and give him a book of Mormon. He was really impressed by the missionaries back in Italy when he lived there and hopefully we can help him here too. He said he was going to try to come to church but he didn't. Hopefully we can see him this week too.

 

That is about all that happened this week. I hope that all of you enjoy your last couple weeks of freedom before school. Talk to you next week.

Thanksgiving and Transfers!!!   Hey y'all! Hopefully Thanksgiving went well for y'all. I know that it went well for us here in the Palm Harbor area.   This last week has been full of miracles. I have gained a surety this week that Heavenly Father is aware of me and everyone and that he truly is in the details of our lives. Multiple times this week Elder Mainor and I have received promptings on where to go and miracles have occurred. One of them is we felt like we should go to a neighborhood with a couple of people that we could stop by, but would most likely not be home. One of the people was Walt. He is always busy and the last 3 times we have tried to contact him it has not gone well. Then on Saturday he was supposed to work all day for one person and he finished early.   "I'LL BE HOME FOR (EASTER)" Hey Y'all,   Wow, this is it. My final weekly and final day in the Tampa Florida mission. Time really has flown by. I never thought I would get to this day. I have enjoyed every second of it though in retrospect at least.   So this week was pretty slow. We have had some good things happen. One exciting thing we have been able to do is reach out to some of the members who are less active. We had a man named Brother Mercer. He originally was a little weirded out by our call, but we were able to share a quick message with him and he wanted us to call him back. I hope Elder Memmott can help him well.   We also got to go to Tampa a few times this week which was nice. Elder Porter needed to train the next technology specialist so I got to go on a couple day exchanges with the Carrollwood Elders.
